My Story

I'm a dedicated attorney, proudly licensed to practice in Colombia and the State of New York. My journey in the legal field began in 2014, granting me nearly a decade's worth of experience navigating the intricacies of the legal system. While I have an international perspective, having collaborated with diverse individuals across various backgrounds, cultures, and professions, it's my personal story that sets the tone for my immigration-focused practice. As an immigrant who traversed the complex path to U.S. citizenship, I genuinely understand the emotions, challenges, and aspirations you are experiencing. I have successfully represented clients before USCIS and the EOIR in various processes including Asylum applications, cancellation of Removal proceedings, Special Juvenile Immigrant Status applications, Adjustment of Status applications, Naturalization applications, and many more.

I have a degree in Economics and a J.D. from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. After living and practicing law in Europe I came to the United States in 2016 and earned a Master’s in Law at Columbia University. I believe that every experience and every person I meet helps me enrich my understanding of people, who should be the main focus of any legal system, but more importantly the immigration legal system. My commitment to my clients goes beyond legal procedures; it's about leveraging my comprehensive understanding of the law to safeguard your interests. Rest assured, when you entrust your concerns to me, you're not just gaining an attorney, but a fellow traveler who's been in your shoes and is committed to guiding you every step.

I believe that complex legal systems should be accessible and easy to understand for everyone because we are all expected to follow the law but to do so, we need to understand the law. I will act as your interpreter, and make this difficult process, a simpler and more enjoyable. If you require immigration-related legal services, don't hesitate to contact CEG Law for a consultation.
